Alongside this year’s NUS Trade Show, we have arranged pre-event training sessions that will be hosted by industry experts. These sessions have been designed to share best practice for those within the commercial environment. They will take place on 8 July and cover the below:
Session 1: National research findings – 10:00 -12:00 This session will detail the findings of the national student drinks tracker for licensed trade, the food and drinks tracker, segmentation findings for drinkers in the bars, quality audit findings and a topline national customer marketing strategy for the oncoming academic year.
Session 2: Ranging and education - 12:15 - 13:15 A look at key competitors and how they maximise their bar space. This session will also include wine ranging as a precursor to the next day’s tasting and demonstration on Stand R, Carlsberg.

These sessions are aimed at developing bar skills and are aimed at bar staff you would like developed through your business. The sessions will give you an opportunity to focus down on the training needs for your outlet and take some key elements back to your bar.

Coffee is in major growth and the lines between café, bar and pub space blur as coffee and food become increasingly important. How are you serving coffee in your bars and is the experience right for your customer?
